Karen brings more than 23 years of global attractions experience to the role. After serving 17 years in leadership for IAAPA and IAAPA Europe, Staley gained extensive knowledge of the amusement park and attractions industry along with strategic planning, marketing, and project management skills.
In her new role, Staley will lead the sales team and manage global sales activities, building upon Sally’s exceptional quality and brand with new and long-term partners worldwide.

What does your job entail?
I hope to connect with the attractions industry to share the value and extraordinary guest experiences dark rides offer. To share ideas and stories that guests would want to ride over and over again. To continue to develop strong relationships with our valuable partners and to expand our outreach to many more.

What is your favorite project?
What is your favorite park?
My favorite park is every park I have visited. I have found that each park has something unique to offer its guests, and I have been incredibly privileged to experience a wide variety of park experiences and attractions. I enjoy all types of rides but find that the rides that are immersive telling stories, fantasies, and fairytales leave the most remarkable impression and memories.
What is your favorite Dark Ride?
A dark ride that tells a story, carries me away, and expands my imagination is my favorite. So I guess all dark rides are my favorites. Those that pull me deeper into the story with interactivity seem to be the ones I want to ride over and over again.
What is your favorite 80's, 90's song or song in general?
If you could be any animal in the world what would it be?
What do you want to be when you grow up?
What do you work toward in your free time?
Much of my free time is filled with visiting amusement parks and riding new attractions. Learning more about the industry is a big part of my past time. Secondly, I am addicted to sports, cycling, skiing, running etc., any extra time I have, I spend doing one of these or more.
Which storybook character do you relate to the most?
What is your favorite sport?
I very much like watching college basketball and football. I am highly impressed by the exceptional athletic ability of college athletes.
What was your favorite TV show growing up?
To be perfectly honest, I prefer to read. But I do enjoy watching The Office and Seinfeld. Comedy always makes the day better.
What is your special talent?
Working hard at the things that are important to me is my special talent.
What's next on your bucket list?
While I don’t really have a list I would like to: Spend more time with family and friends Travel to parts of the world I have not yet seen and experienced Visit more parks and ride more rides Ski new mountain terrains Continue to try new things
